Texas Accelerated Science Acheivement Program

The Texas ASAP program was awarded in he 2005-2006 school year. We applied for it to assist our science program increase its TAKS scores. The result of the program was fantasic. With the assistance of the program we were able purchase badly needed lab equipment, microscopes, experiment kits, and other science necessities to afford our children the real hands on stuff that makes a difference.
Over all we were able to complete almost all of our objectives and increase our overall scores by over 25%.

Improving Literacy Through Libraries Grant
|

|
|
|
The Improving Literacy Through Libraries Grant from the Department of Education finally gave our school the library it so desperately needed. Now students may visit the library individually or by class and study with all the latest books, reference materials, and media that is available. It also has a modern presentation center that can utilize DVD, VCR, Computer, Internet, and Document Camera. The library has a completely electronic card catalog system and is WIFI ready. Students, parents, or community members may bring in their device and access the internet when needed. This project was very worthwhile.
Parents meetings and other types of meetings are now held in the library.
